What happened to the blog?
Dear reader,
It's been 6 years since I first started writing this blog and if you were one of the few people who used to read my weekly updates from the Temple Square mission, you must have wondered what happened when I suddenly stopped uploading new updates.
Well... I'm here to tell you the story of how it all came to an upbrupt end.
When I first started writing this blog, my intention was to have a creative outlet where I could share my deepest thoughts and most intense feelings whit others like me. I hoped that through my experiences and by telling my story I could help, inspire and connect to people around the world who in some way or another could relate to my words and to my personality.
If you go through my blog post archives, and read to my publications in 2015, you will be greeted by a 19 year old young woman who was starting to experience the most life changing year of her life. My late teens and early twenties shapped who I am today in many ways and I had every intention to document those years of my life on the internet, but that didn't go as planned.
Once I went on a full time mission for The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2016, my only form of communication with the world was through email and letters to my friends and family. My mother was the person updatig the blog and "ghost writing" for me.
I had the best support system throughout my life, and it was no surprise that my family was extremely excited for me and wanted to help me sucseed in all of my endavors including my journey sharing my life online.
What none of us could have anticipated was that by sharing details of my life on the internet I would be faced by ghosts from my past that came out to hunt me.
What I am referring to is my worst nightmare. I was targeted by a stalker. Someone who was present in the early years of my life and who knew my family but had no contact with any of us for over 15 years and suddenly became obsessed with the idea of getting close to me and myt family.
I will never know true motives of said individual, but that person was willing to go through extreme lengths in order to gain access to me, manipulate tose around me, and even brainwash me into believing the most irracional stories in order to gain my trust and peruade me into turning against my family.
For safety reasons we had to stop sharing my weekly letters with you, and from that time on I became way more careful about what I areas of my life I was willing to expose and what I would rather keep private.
I a 25 years old now. I finished my mission with honors and found the love of my life, to whom I was sealed for life and eternity inthe Salt Lake City temple.
If you would like to keep up with my new adventures and see what I am up to these days, please consider following me on instagram at www.instagram.com/besmarttgirl.
THANK YOU for your support along the journey.
Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving,
Cindy Gomes (aka Sister Gomes)
